Cellulose-Based Chiral Phase with Tris-(4-methylbenzoyl)carbamate Coating for Enantioselective Normal-Phase Chromatography
ReproSil Chiral-JM is a silica-based HPLC stationary phase coated with tris-(4-methylbenzoyl)carbamate cellulose, developed for enantioselective separations under normal-phase conditions. The chiral selector, a cellulose derivative substituted with 4-methylbenzoyl carbamate groups, provides a well-balanced combination of hydrogen bonding, π–π interactions, and dipole–dipole forces, enabling strong chiral recognition and high resolution for a wide variety of racemic analytes.
The coating process ensures a uniform, stable chiral layer on high-purity spherical silica, giving the phase excellent mechanical stability, reproducible retention characteristics, and long operational lifetime. The specific substitution pattern of the 4-methylbenzoyl groups creates a distinct selectivity profile, offering complementary performance to other cellulose- and amylose-based chiral stationary phases. This makes ReproSil Chiral-JM an excellent choice for method development, screening, and routine enantioseparations. Designed for use with standard non-aqueous mobile phases (such as n-hexane/alcohol mixtures), this phase delivers consistent chiral recognition and excellent peak symmetry across a broad range of compound classes including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and fine chemicals.
ReproSil Chiral-JM combines the proven performance of cellulose-based chiral recognition with the distinct selectivity of tris-(4-methylbenzoyl)carbamate functionality – the reliable choice for precise and reproducible enantioselective separations in normal-phase chromatography.
Attractive alternative to CHIRALCEL® OJ-H (Daicel®) and Lux Cellulose-3 (Phenomenex™).
